Updates....but not much on the house...

Haven't update anything for a while cuz we were busy moving....Photos here are not updates from now, but from few weeks back. I updated the photos a while back but didn't have time to finish the blog, so here they are.....

One day Billy said Mintie created this heart after she used her sand box and he took a photo of it...yeah....weird....

We had carpets installed and the rooms were comfy by then....

Didn't really get much from Europane that week...tried their egg tart like stuff....

This was the dining room light we got. The dining room looks more modern now with the light.

This is what Peter did for the bathroom tub faucets with the tiles we picked. I am quite pleased with this whole thing. Bathroom looks antic with class now....

We had a dinner at Lawry's celebrating our purchase of the house....oh well...all I can say is....too much food for a Fri night....

Billy got meatballs while we were waiting, and didn't even have time to eat cuz they called us right away....lol....

Their special salad with the whole stun show...oh well...Beets were nice....

I didn't even try the bread. I was half full after salad already...

Our cutter was happy I wanted to take a photo of him. I didn't really want to, but then our waiter suggested...he looked excited huh?

Like I said....too much food for 2 of us....

I think I got a huge 8 oz cut because the cutter was happy I wanted to take his photo....

I had like 3/4 of my steak left cuz I couldn't finish it at all....so we had to take the left over home....

dessert from my special was super sweet...don't think I want to have it again next time...alright...we are actually moved into the house but everything is a mess now so I will have to wait till things are more settled to take photos....laters....

Updates from April 13th....

Ok....here are the new appliances that arrived for the past week. Stove range and refrigerator are all in place. The fridge was too big Peter had to take the door frame off to let it in. We were lucky Peter was still around when people delivered the fridge.....Washer and dryer also arrived on time for us to apply for some rebate from the city. The water saving washer is one weird washer...it sprinkles out water gradually as it washes....and everything looked dry at 1st...anyway...hopefully it washes clean...

Peter also got a new door for the one that is broken in the back of the bonus room...We will have to paint it and that is why the types are there to protect the glasses from the paint.

Peter finished the pantry and we painted it. Hopefully we will be able to fit all our stored food there...and all the snacks....Still have to paint the door and install the knobs....

The once green room is now all reglazed white on the tiles. Medicine cabinet with big mirrors are installed and the vanity lights still need bulbs. The custom made shower door is also installed, and the new shower/sink faucets + toilet. I am guessing this shower won't be used much since I don't really want to deal with the reglazed tiles...oh and we still need to paint the cabinets...


Painted our bedroom tritone....very annoying and hard to paint, and it just looked too pink to me...I am glad we had enough blue paint left so it kinda modified the whole pink feeling a little. The closet Peter made from scratch for us looks cool. The lights inside work well and the shelves are all adjustable. We are just missing a ceiling light from the bedroom now....


The bathroom faucet was totally remodeled from the three handle to one handle....We had to take 4 rows of tiles out to install the new faucet, and Peter did a very good job with the tiles we picked to replace the original ones. I will take a photo of the finished product which he wrapped up yesterday in a day or 2. The bathroom looks really cool now, and only thing missing is a ceiling light + painting the cabinets...


Well....Living room is still not done. Flooring people came and did not really do a good job. We will see what happens then....oh well...

A more relaxing Sat.....

Didn't do much at the house for Sat cuz we tried to look up for lights at various places. The main theme for Sat is really about food......ate too much for the weekend, and I am still having water detention, sleeping, + muscle problems....oh well....

Got some new stuff from Euro Pane again. Money Bread tasted more like donuts, The big rounded thing is a blueberry brioche that has a little of pudding filling in it. Under the brioche there is a scone with ginger flavor....kinda interesting....

Sat night we went to Green Street Tavern to celebrate Irene's BD. It's amazing that I have known Irene for almost 10 years and she is still in touch with me after all those years of moving back to TW and back....ah the good old times again....getting old....Too bad Jay is in China or else everyone at the dinner would be from around the same era....lol....

The appetizers: Tofu Eggplant thingy....Spicy shrimp cakes....Roasted beets salad....


Billy got iron cast chicken. Chih-Lin got sea bass.

I think Irene got the pork belly thingy....Jack got the boring Fettuccine....

Mine was short ribs which tasted like beef from stew....weird...

We got creme brulee, bread pudding, and this peach with cinnamon thing for desserts. Only took a photo of this cuz that was the only new one we tried...

Like I said....OLD friends....:)

Updates on the house by April 4th....

Ok...more updates on the house.....more like on the "painting" project....The dining room now is two tones cuz we were afraid we would not have enough yellow...We actually didn't have enough yellow at all cuz the yellow was so hard to deal with we needed two coats of everything for it to work. Anyway....dining room looked alright after I took off the tapes.

The laundry room sink looks kinda cool now. Peter took off those crappy wood edges around the sink and put our left over tiles around it. I guess the sink looks very sturdy now...lol...The ugly bathroom with green tiles are now re-glazed to white as you can see from the shower. I am not too fond of the white and the re-glaze work but then that is what we can afford now. The medicine cabinet with huge mirror, lights, sink faucet, and toilet are not completely installed yet...

Kitchen is mostly done except the base boards. Faucet was changed and pipe leaks taken care of. We are still waiting for the appliances to come...oh well...at least the dish washer is installed back and range hood installed as well...

Ok this is one bedroom which two coats of the yellow paint too....very messy now....

The 2nd bedroom is painted with "Aqua Breeze". It's kinda green and blue mixed and feels kinda cool...

Ok Billy wanted to take photos of us doing painting....We looked quite happy in the photos...but it was freaking tiring...oh well....As you can see the living room is not done yet. The scary orange living room just had two coats of primer during the weekend..and we probably won't be able to get it done until the wood floors are all cleaned up and polished....sighs....
