I know it's been a LONG time....AGAIN....

Well....I guess I do have some royal readers for my blog....cuz I just got a complaint today saying it's been a LONG time since I updated the blog...Yeah...I admit....Life just had been a little more bumpy than I expected, and I wasn't exactly in the mood to write much. June gloom basically continued for the whole June till few days ago. Stock market was down for a while...Condos we offered didn't go anywhere since there are crazy buyers out there willing to pay more than asking prices.....and then there were various fights....so that is about that...

Bros just arrived few days ago. Even on that I had my down times....1st of all the flight time was remembered wrong. Instead of arriving on night time they arrived in the morning. For the whole time I thought they would arrive at night so I moved all my students to that afternoon so I can free up the rest of the week for them....oh well....and then as I was picking them up I found out NW flights don't arrive at the International terminal like all other normal flights do....and that was AFTER I parked...I had to walk all the way to terminal 2 from terminal 4, and then when I got there I found out they were going to be like 2.5 hours delayed....

So I guess the airport picking up plan didn't go exactly like what I expected...I had to cancel a student because I was super late. I dropped them home and then went on teaching the rest of students, and then never recovered from my tiredness since that day cuz I started taking the kids to place right next day.....oh...and then Billy's car just got hit and run on the trunk while the car was parked at Boeing parking lot today. I wonder what kinda lame person Boeing hired that would hit someone's car in the parking lot and run away...but anyway...that happened to me before too when I was at Gatty's museum....You would think people who go to museums would have some class....but God knows....So I guess more fixing on his car later...

Anyway....June is almost over...just a few more days....and we all have to hang in there....There WILL be more photos to update since we have been taking some....but will update them later. As for now...just photos from before....

Mintie likes sleeping on the sofa next to me when I watch TV or do my stuff on the computer in the morning...

Found this huge pullover I had before and found out Billy can actually fit in it....So he was wearing it when he was doing all the house works..pretending to be CUTE....

I made Lemon poppy seed muffins one day....I was quite surprised how the mix was so easy to use...

I got this long pillow which I wanted to use as a body pillow...and Mintie took it to be her bed the same night I got it....geez...

One night Billy got really bored and just put one of the earplugs on Mintie....I guess it matched her eye color, and we got a new pet called Unicorn Cat Mintie...

Where did the sun go?

I have never heard of the term "June gloom" before....but I am experiencing it now....It's been very gloomy with the weather ever since June started....I just think it's very strange cuz it's usually quite hot already during the month of June in LA. I guess I kinda like it this way, but I am not so sure if it's good for health. I think because of the temperature and also the lack of sun, my muscles are aching more than often. I am also running out of those pain relieving pads from TW, but I guess I will be fine when Clement and Ivan come in a week or two with new supplies....

Other than this gloomy weather, we also didn't get the condo we wanted. I guess God just doesn't want me to work too hard. If we got the condo then I would have to work more and help make the payments meet. We are now waiting for the reply from the smaller condo that only has two rooms. I am not sure if the owner would accept our price since we haven't hear anything yet....but oh well...maybe it just means we have to search some more even though I am sick and tired of doing all that....I am really starting to wonder if moving to another state would make a lot more sense since the house market is terrible anywhere else....oh...and also....starting from July 1st the sales tax in LA is gonna be 9.75 %....so I wonder why people want to live in this place with horrible high tax and expensive housing which we cannot afford....

Anyway....I hope the sun starts to come out even though the sun is really not my thing....When the sun comes out maybe everything will get better?

Meeting old friend again....

Met up with a friend (Masumi) back from high school for dinner last night. We basically started our Interlochen life together even though she was one year older than me and graduated one year before me. I think I saw her once after she graduated cuz she came to LA to study with her uncle after Interlochen. I didn't know she also went to USC cuz at the time I have already graduated. I guess if it wasn't for facebook we would not be able to meet up again after so many years. We went to Duck House for dinner cuz her husband liked the place. She recently got married to this guy who is apparently a German-Japanese mix (really cool combination if you think about WW II I guess....). I was having hope that I could probably set her up with Jack when I heard she was still in LA from Taeja last year we met. I guess I should now hope for Masumi to have more friends available so Jack has a chance....Well....I think it was fun meeting yet another friend back from high school. It's quite amazing people really turn out to be diff. from my memories after many years. Masumi seemed to talk a lot more than I remembered...maybe it's just because I never really got to know people that much back then....oh well....

Oh....one interesting thing....Aaron (her husband) was apparently classmate with one of 辜政甫's sons....and he commented that his classmate is now in deep trouble over the scandals with money at TW. I just thought that was kinda funny since it also confirmed my speculation of how old Aaron is....He is an interesting person to eat with I think....laid back and fake laughes a lot...even though it's not really fake....just the presentation of the laughes was funny enough for me....I think only laid back guys can handle weird musician wives...

I also think my small camera sucks now. It's apparently too outdated now since I see other cameras taking better photos than mine. I guess I will have to bring the big one out when I want decent pictures from now on.....oh well....

Long time no write....my dear blog....

I didn't realize it's been like half month since my last blog....I guess there is really not much to say....Anyway....Let me just put some photos here...at least some of them show what happened in the last 2 weeks or so....just scattered things....

Ok...Mintie sleeping on the sofa here...Sofa is usually where she sleeps during day time before I teach. She would then go find Hades and sleep next to him after I leave home...weird cat who needs to be next to someone when she sleeps....

One of the weekends, Billy decided to make this really weird type of Hamburger....He cut our ribeye steak into small strips and made this beef patty with the pieces, together with red pepper, mushroom, and onions....The bread he used was my favorite oraweat toasts, and I guess it just wasn't one of those traditional burgers.....I have to say it tasted really good...You can totally taste the quality of the meat and eat it without the normal mess when everything is included in the patty itself...

One of the Sundays Billy was vacuuming the apartment while Mintie was already on the tree house. Hades did not have a place to run to except the tree house thus I got this precious picture even though the light was bad....In memory of their 1st time on the tree house AT THE SAME TIME.....lol....

For the past few weeks I was preparing one student for this PYSO (Pasadena youth symphony orchestra) audition....She was working hard for it, and apparently the work paid off since she got in. This past Mon I got this funny card from her (by the way I think she is already in junior high....and draws this card like she is from kindergarten....I wonder if that was done by purpose...) I guess kids are just hard to understand at times....haha....


Last week Billy took a day of on Friday to go to another dental appt. He apparently had more free time that day then I expected. He got his tires changed, and then went to Macy's to get me an anniversity gift...yeah I know...way too early for that....I was a little confused when I opened up the box. I thought it would be some sort of nice looking jewlery, but it was only a necklace WITHOUT any pandant....I looked at the price and then got even more confused....Why would a simple chain cost so much? Well....apparently he bought this one cuz the chain is made up by little square cubes (hard to see from here since the photo is so unclear) and that would go with my name well....yeah....I guess I am getting a lot of "square" things because of my name...including my engagement ring and other stuff...The price is because this is a 14K white gold chain, not a silver one. He bought it cuz one of my silver necklace chain recently broke because Mintie accidentally pulled it when she was scared and freaked out....I just thought the price is still pricy even though it's white Gold so we actually went to look for other things to exchange this with....hoping I would find something I like and think worth the money spent...Well....Didn't find anything....so it looks like I am keeping this unless I find something soon...I guess what's meant to be is meant to be sometimes......It's probably a good thing that I have a necklace chain that is made up with tiny square cubes so I can keep it on my neck even when I change diff. pendants....We will see about that....nowadays I can only wear very limited jewleries on me since the rings are set and now the chain....lol...Oh....one good thing is that the necklace was 50 % off plus an extra 15 % off after that...just that weekend...so I guess Billy got lucky too...Alright....that is about all I can mention which has photo supports....We will see how long it will take me to write the next blog....
