Day 1-3 in TW, 2009

Our trip for TW was sure very tiring for the 1st week. The flight was kinda long to start with, and got longer with the more than one hour delay from LA to Taipei. We almost didn't make it for the flight from Taipei to KHH because of the delay too.....Sleeping pills kinda got me through the 1st few days, but then people waking up around 6ish in the morning really wasn't something I am used to....Anyway...Here are photos from the 1st few days....

Dad and mom wanted to take me to places where there are still sakura around, but then all the places were too far away I thought. We ended up going to this place called "Teng-Zhi", which is somewhere in the mountains at Ping-Dong....and guess what? We did NOT see any sakuras AT ALL....lol....

This was the only group pictures we had since we didn't bring either Clement nor Ivan to the trip. A stranger took this one for us close to the entrance of the park....

Well....this was the so called "artificial waterfall".....but I didn't expect it to be so small....lol....

Even though there were no flowers to see, we saw whole bunch of tall trees and leaves full of morning dew :)

The only thing we really did in the park was hiking....in hope to find some left over cherry blossoms in the park. Well....the hiking turned out to be a lot more energy consuming than we thought. Mom was smart to stay down at the visitor's center cuz we only got up about 1/3 of where we wanted to go and felt dead tired right at the "bird watching" place....

We had to drink to make up for the sweats....

We ate at this place which has a view of the mountains, and it was very foggy around lunch time...

They grew their own coffee beans...kinda interesting...

We went to visit grandma and some aunties and uncles at Tainan....Clement went with us since he got home Wed night to meet up with us...Grandma was talking for the whole day and lost her voice at night. I was entertained by her life time stories, but thought she really should of rest her throat more. I guess old people really need to talk when they live alone most of the time and have nobody to talk to during the day....Dinner was at this place dad's classmate owns. I think dad's classmate was drunk since he was acting weird when we left...
